Brittany Williams is a womanist, abolitionist, and skilled organizer. As former Policy and Logistics Chair for Women’s March NYC, she led the Women’s March Policy Platform and the Mass Bailout campaign, securing the release of women and youth from Rikers Island and connecting them with support services. As New York State Organizer with Indivisible, she supported over 1,000 groups in the Northeast, led a 50-state voter registration program, and backed key New York races, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cynthia Nixon.
Brittany also co-organized the #CLOSErikers campaign, advocating for jail decarceration. She founded Dancing for Justice, leading dance-led protests in nine cities to combat anti-Black policing. During Hurricane Irma, she mobilized to open 13 shelters for underserved communities and raised $10,000 for families in need. In response to COVID-19, Brittany helped raise over $2 million to support vulnerable communities. She worked as Director of Campaigns at Worth Rises, National Freedom Organizer for RaceForward, and Social Media Manager for Real News.
